The
following are local rules and additional
information pertaining to the rules of golf:
1.
GREEN - Only if your ball comes to
rest on the deep machine cut around
the green may you lift, clean and
place your ball at the nearest point off the
great, no nearer the hole, no penalty. Note:
all of the greens do not have a deep machine
cut around them.
2.
FAIRWAY - When "preferred lies" are in
effect. A player may lift, clean and replace
her ball within 6 inches of the original
spot where ball lay, no nearer the hole, no
penalty.
3.
STAKED TREES OR BUSHES -If a staked
tree or bush, including yardage marker
bushes, interferes with your stance or area
of intended swing, the ball MUST be dropped
at the nearest point of relief (that point
nearest where your ball lay which protects
the tree for subsequent play), no nearer the
hole, without penalty.
4.
NEWLY SEEDED AREAS AND TEMPORARY GREENS NOT
IN USE -If your ball or
stance is affected by these conditions, you
must take relief as per ground under repair.
When it is impossible to move to the nearest
spot due to hazards, obstructions, etc., you
may move behind the area keeping the point
where the ball lie between you and the hole
and dropping within one club length of the
area, without penalty.
5.
WATER HAZARDS -Water hazards are
defined by yellow lines, or in the absence
of lines, by the break of the ground to the
water. Lateral water hazards are defined by
red lines, or in the absence of lines, by
the break of the ground to the water. When
stakes are present, they only identify the
hazards.
6. OUT
OF BOUNDS - This is defined by inside
edges, at ground level, of perimeter fences
(not telephone poles), and driving range
fences. All artificially surfaced paths,
dirt-covered maintenance roads, and the
extensions of each are also included as
immovable obstructions.
7. RULING ON HOLE #8
- If a wire fence has been erected
surrounding the #8 green to keep the mud
hens away, and your ball comes to reset up
against the fence, this will be considered
the same as the ball entering the water. It
will be an unplayable, one penalty stroke,
and ball to be dropped no nearer to the
hole. If you feel the ball can be stroked
where it lies, remember this is considered a
hazard and the club cannot be grounded. Rule

Hazards.
